WHAT IS SCULPSURE?
SculpSure is a non-invasive laser body contouring that helps you achieve a natural-looking, slimmer appearance, without the need for surgery. The FDA-cleared treatment helps to reduce stubborn fat in the belly, love handles, back, thighs and even under the chin, through the use of a laser.
Other fat freezing technologies can be non-specific and destroy tissues by crystalizing, whereas SculpSure uses laser energy to heat and destroy the cells with no collateral tissue damage. By heating rather than freezing the fat, there are no harsh distinctions of where the treatment starts/stops, minimal discomfort, and the treatment only lasts for 25 minutes. Over time, the body naturally eliminates the disrupted fat cells with results seen as quickly as 6 weeks and optimal results usually seen in as few as 12 weeks.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT ENTAIL?
When the treatment starts, initially you will feel a cooling sensation. This helps keep the skin comfortable during treatment. The cooling will be on the entire treatment, while the laser cycles on and off, raising the temperature of the fat cells. Most patients feel a deep warmth and/or tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated. After the 25-minute treatment is finished, you can resume your daily activities, as there is no post-treatment down time. We recommend 2 treatments per patient for optimum results but some patients may require a third session.
WHO IS THE IDEAL PATIENT?
SculpSure is ideal for people with trouble spots, particularly those that seem resistant to diet and exercise. SculpSure is designed for patients in the normal to overweight category on the Body Mass Index (BMI), so people with a BMI of under 30. There is no downtime following a SculpSure treatment, allowing you to resume your daily activities right away, perfect for active lifestyles.
