Surgical Procedure for a breast lift
Looking for help to get a Breast Lift
Restore a youthful contour with our breast lift (mastopexy) procedure at Renovatio Clinic with Dr. Sof. As we age, it’s natural for the breasts to lose their lift and firmness. Our breast lift surgery removes excess skin and tightens underlying tissue to rejuvenate and elevate the breasts, giving them a more youthful and natural appearance.
The Breast Lift Procedure with Dr. Sof
THE PROCEDURE
Are you considering a breast lift (mastopexy) to rejuvenate and uplift your breasts? Learn more about the procedure and what to expect when you choose Renovatio Clinic with Dr. Sofiane Rimouche for your breast lift journey:
Consultation and Planning:Â Your breast lift journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Sof. During this initial meeting, Dr. Sof will listen to your concerns, goals, and preferences regarding breast lift surgery. He will perform a thorough examination of your breasts, assess your skin elasticity, and discuss the most suitable techniques to achieve your desired outcome.
Preparation:Â On the day of your breast lift surgery, you will arrive at the surgical facility, where Dr. Sof and his team will ensure you are comfortable and prepared for the procedure. You will be given anaesthesia to ensure you are asleep and pain-free throughout the surgery.
Incision Placement:Â Dr. Sof will carefully select the most appropriate incision pattern based on your individual breast anatomy and the degree of breast sagging. Common incision patterns for breast lift surgery include the periareolar (around the nipple), vertical (lollipop), or anchor (inverted T) technique.
Breast Tissue Reshaping:Â Once the incisions are made, Dr. Sof will reshape and reposition the breast tissue to create a firmer, more youthful breast contour. He may also adjust the size and position of the areolas to achieve a balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Skin Tightening:Â Dr. Sof will remove excess skin and tighten the remaining skin envelope to eliminate sagging and achieve a lifted breast appearance.Â
Closing Incisions:Â After the breast tissue and skin are reshaped and tightened, Dr. Sof will close the incisions with sutures, surgical tape, or adhesive skin closure strips. He will take care to minimise scarring and ensure a clean, well-contoured appearance.
Recovery and Follow-Up:Â Following the procedure, you will be monitored closely in the recovery area until you are ready to return home. Dr. Sof will provide detailed post-operative instructions to help you manage discomfort, promote healing, and achieve the best possible results for each patient. He will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress, address any concerns, and ensure a smooth recovery process.

THING TO AVOID AFTER BREAST UPLIFT SURGERY
The following five steps will support your recovery
- Avoid strenuous activities such as heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, or activities that strain the chest muscles for several weeks post-surgery to prevent unnecessary strain on the healing tissues.
- During the initial recovery period, refrain from sleeping on your stomach to avoid putting pressure on the chest area and disrupting the healing process.
- Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can impair healing and increase the risk of complications. It's best to abstain from these substances during the recovery period.
- Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments with your surgeon to monitor your progress, address any concerns, and ensure proper healing.
- Follow Dr. Sof's instructions for wound care diligently, including keeping the incision sites clean and dry to minimise the risk of infection.
- Be vigilant for signs of infection, such as increased pain, redness, swelling, or drainage from the incision sites. Contact your surgeon immediately if you experience any concerning symptoms.
- Avoid wearing underwire bras or bras with tight or restrictive bands during the initial healing phase, as they can irritate incision sites and interfere with proper healing.
- Protect your incision sites from direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds to prevent hyperpigmentation and minimise scarring. Wear loose-fitting clothing that covers the chest area if you need to be outdoors.
- Take prescribed medications, including pain relievers and antibiotics, as directed by your surgeon to manage discomfort and prevent infection.
- Excessive exposure to dust, wind, or allergens that could irritate your healing brow area.
- Listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself too hard during the recovery period. Allow yourself time to rest and recuperate both physically and emotionally, and reach out to your support system if you need assistance or encouragement.
